Sensei Johnathan is very hands on and cares for the students.   My son truly loves going to potomac kempo and I feel rewarded by his learning and confidence he has gained.

					I will never forget how I felt before I walked into this Dojo. I was frustrated with so many things school related when it came to my child. I remember going into the dojo and it didn’t matter that Sensai Jonathan was closed and cleaning the dojo. The door was open. He felt my energy, and sat and listened to my concerns. This was my first sign that support is all around me. He offered a free lesson to my child and then I had my whole family of 4 join. Sensai Jonathan has been a true blessing by being an amazing mentor and Sensai to my children. He listens to their crazy stories and never makes them feel weird for asking any questions. Also, he has a set demeanor and tone no matter how my son tries to push the sound boundaries. He shows them the importance of meditation, self control, discipline, and he encourages them when they do not feel like they can. All my children have the utmost respect for him, Kempo, and the Dojo. If you are in the National Landing area and looking for an extra layer of support, I highly recommend Potomac Kempo National Landing.

					Potomac Kempo - National Landing is the best place to train and learn martial arts. I have been an (adult) student for 6 years and the lessons learned, skills acquired, and friends made has been so very valuable to me. Sempai Jonathan is an amazing instructor with kids and adults. Our dojos accept everyone as they are, and we are friendly to everyone who walks through the doors. When you train here, your input is valued & your learning style is used to make sure you get the most out of your lesson, so that you retain the information you have learned. The dojo is very clean and spacious. The classes always have a fun element so that everyone leaves with a smile. And the warm-up exercises vary from day to day so you will never get bored. There are a variety of weights and equipment that you can use in the dojo to increase your strength training and there are fun toys for the kids to use as they learn martial arts. I have trained at all of our PK locations and had great experiences. The National Landing location is my favorite.

					Just stop in one day and have a look at Sensei Mark teaching a kid's class and you'll be convinced. Not only are the students learning discipline, respect, perseverance, and confidence, but they are getting EXERCISE as well. Sensei Mark makes every student feel like they are important and special, and he ensures they get a solid martial arts training at every class. The training and positive reinforcement the kids get from Sensei Mark undoubtedly help them develop into strong, confident, goal-oriented adults. The adult classes are very well configured to give you a great workout as well as learning some awesome self-defense skills. You will lean Shaolin Kempo and a mixture of other very exciting forms. Try a lesson and see what I mean!
